At the beginning was the chaos….
... than came the A.I.C., which initially decided not to build up its own school but to coordiate already existing training facilities. During the course of time it turned out that these facilities were unsufficient and too much personalized, missing any technical standard. This fact encouraged the A.I.C. to think of an own school, contributing thus to a more technical and secure way of practisesing our activity. The first step in this direction was made in April 1999 with an italian-french workshop, showing us again the high technical and organisational skills of our neighbours. Further ideas about the establishment of the new school were growing and finally in April 2000 "VIP's" of the French Canyoning School quot;examined" the prospective A.I.C. school instructors. Immediately after this "exam" standards and regulations for the new school were set up and the first training courses will already start in June this year.
Considering this development, the National Canyoning School aquired a high standard of technical skill placing them on the top of the national Canyoning League, which is still very young as has a lot to learn in the future.
Thanks to a group of highly motivated people the National Canyoning School is now a reality and wants to contribute to a secure way of "Canyoning" in Italy, a country which can offer in this exiting acitivity in still unexplored and very beautiful places.
